La premi\u00e8re consiste \u00e0 faire Half Dome et la Cable Route, o\u00f9 j&#8217;avais fait demi tour en juin dernier (\u00e0 cause de la pr\u00e9sence de beaucoup trop de gens en train de faire n&#8217;importe quoi), ou bien faire une randonn\u00e9e pour aller \u00e0 un sommet qui s&#8217;appelle Cloud Rest. Celui-ci est un peu plus haut que Half Dome, et on y a \u00e9galement une vue magnifique para\u00eet il. Tout cela me laisse h\u00e9sitant. J&#8217;ai un peu envie de me \u00ab venger \u00bb de la Cable Route, mais c&#8217;est bien aussi d&#8217;essayer de nouvelles choses&#8230; apr\u00e8s une pause tr\u00e8s br\u00e8ve \u00e0 Lee Vining le temps de jeter un oeil sur l&#8217;actualit\u00e9 internet, j&#8217;attaque finalement l&#8217;ascension de Togo Pass, un col \u00e0 tout pr\u00eat de 10000 pieds (3000 m\u00e8tres) qui est le seul point d&#8217;entr\u00e9e \u00e0 Yosemite c\u00f4t\u00e9 est.<\/p>\n<p>Comme d&#8217;habitude, Pourquoi Pas ? monte \u00e0 son petit rythme tranquille, lentement mais s\u00fbrement. Je ne m&#8217;inqui\u00e8te plus vraiment de ce qu&#8217;il est capable de faire. J&#8217;ai le sentiment qu&#8217;il ne me fera pas d\u00e9faut. L&#8217;ascension occupe quand m\u00eame un moment, puisque la vall\u00e9e est environ 1000 m\u00e8tres plus bas. Il est pourtant encore tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t quand j&#8217;arrive finalement aux portes du parc. J&#8217;ach\u00e8te un abonnement annuel aux parc nationaux am\u00e9ricains sans la moindre h\u00e9sitation. En th\u00e9orie, mon voyage devrait encore compter Crater Lake, Yellowstone, Bryce Cayon et Grand Cayon&#8230; bref, je devrais rentabiliser la passe assez facilement je pense.<\/p>\n<p>Nous sommes vendredi. Dans ma t\u00eate, il est n\u00e9cessaire d&#8217;avoir un permis pour faire le Half Dome en fin de semaine. La logique voudrait donc que je le fasse aujourd&#8217;hui. Dans le m\u00eame temps, le parc Yosemite est grand : je suis encore \u00e0 2h de route de la vall\u00e9e d&#8217;o\u00f9 part la randonn\u00e9e pour Half Dome. \u00c7a veut dire que je commencerais \u00e0 grimper vers 10h30. Sachant que le soleil se couche vers 20h et qu&#8217;il faut compter une dizaine d&#8217;heures pour monter tout en haut et redescendre, j&#8217;en arrive \u00e0 la conclusion que je serais sans doute trop limit\u00e9 par le temps. C&#8217;est Cloud Rest qui l&#8217;emporte par d\u00e9faut. Une ballade de 7h d&#8217;apr\u00e8s le guide.<\/p>\n<p>N&#8217;ayant pas de nouvelles de Laura, j&#8217;ai pr\u00e9venu Jane que je resterais peut \u00eatre une journ\u00e9e de plus \u00e0 Yosemite, et que je n&#8217;arriverais \u00e0 San Francisco que dimanche. J&#8217;aurais donc \u00e9ventuellement le temps pour une autre randonn\u00e9e demain.
